The Almanzora Valley Tourism Business Association is organising the 4th Tourism Photography Competition for the Almanzora region, located in the north of the province of Almería. The competition will run from 16 January to 31 May 2026 and focuses on photographing any of the 30 Wonders of Almanzora listed on the following page: https://turismoalmanzora.com/que-ver/las-30-maravillas/ or photographs of the villages listed on the page: https://turismoalmanzora.com/pueblos/. Participation is free and the top three winners of the competition will receive cash prizes of €250, €150 and €100, as well as a diploma.  

On 20 March at 9 p.m. at the Terra Café Gastrobar, there will be a wine tasting accompanied by a pairing menu. This menu will feature different types of food accompanied by wines. To make reservations, please call the following number: +34 950 17 33 52.

REALISM COURSE BY EDUARDO MILLÁN IBAÑEZ MUSEUM (OLULA DEL RÍO, ALMERÍA) APRIL 6-10, 2026 Organized by the Ibáñez Cosentino Art Foundation in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Almería and the City Council of Olula del Río, this workshop is aimed at painters over the age of 18 who want to share their experiences with each other and receive advice from Eduardo Millán, a realist artist who will teach throughout the different sessions of the workshop, during which participants will paint from life. The night before the race, we look forward to seeing you in Sierro. This year, we are adding a PASTA PARTY so you can fill up your tanks while enjoying a great atmosphere with your fellow runners and good music. On Friday, you can pick up your race number, attend the technical briefing on the circuit, and enjoy dinner😉. Remember to purchase your dinner ticket when you register. Dinner will be on 12 June 2026 at 9:00 p.m. in Sierro. The race will start the next day at 8:00 a.m. There are three different race categories: – CAR 150: The queen distance changes much of the route to make it even more spectacular, seeking the limit with the Sierra de Baza Natural Park (Granada) and then crowning the Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory, at 2,160 metres above sea level. The average altitude of the entire route is around 1,800 metres above sea level. – CAR 100: CAR100 is the intermediate distance, but it remains a challenging route, covering more than 100 km and more than 2,000 metres of elevation gain, also passing through the Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory and sharing the descent and return to Sierro with CAR150. – CAR 50: […]
